In today's fast-paced world, where isolation and limited care can have detrimental effects on our well-being, the significance of finding companionship and support cannot be overstated. Pulse's Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) properties have emerged as a source of empowerment for individuals like Rebecca, granting them the opportunity to experience newfound independence and the transformative power of having a place they can truly call home.

Rebecca has been living in one of our newly-built shared homes located on a peaceful suburban street in Bayswater for a year now. This spacious home provides accommodation for three tenants, offering ample room for personal retreat and moments of solitude, while also facilitating socialization among the residents. Each resident enjoys the comfort of a large private ensuite and their own access to a private outdoor space. The modern finishes and inviting furnishings create a cohesive and tranquil environment, ensuring that tenants feel at ease and content.

Sue Hall, our dedicated Housing Coordinator at Pulse, has formed meaningful connections with tenants across our multiple homes in Perth. We are grateful to have her as an integral part of our small team. During a heartfelt conversation with Sue, Rebecca expressed her deep appreciation for the life-changing impact of Pulse's SDA properties. Merely a year ago, Rebecca experienced profound isolation, spending days without seeing anyone. Limited access to care compounded her feelings of loneliness and despair, exacerbated by extreme anxiety. However, the opportunity to live independently and discover companionship has not only made Rebecca feel incredibly fortunate, but it has also transformed her life forever.

Stories like Rebecca's bring us immense joy, and we consider ourselves equally as lucky to have Rebecca as one of our cherished tenants. We also feel honoured to have partnered with Ability WA, as the care provider. Take a look at this video to learn more about Rebecca and her Bayswater home.
