Bassendean Disability Homes Official Opening

Cutting of the ribbon at Foundation Housing's disability development in Bassedean

25.10.22

Yesterday marked a momentous occasion for us as we proudly participated in the official opening of our client's Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) development in Bassendean. The culmination of efforts, collaboration, and dedication led to the successful completion of this extraordinary two-home disability project, which we were delighted to hand over to Foundation Housing.

The event organized by Foundation Housing to commemorate this achievement was nothing short of spectacular. The Hon Don Punch MLA, Minister for Disability Services, graced the occasion as the official opener of these homes. The ceremony commenced with a beautiful Welcome to Country presented by Noongar Elder, Neville Collard, adding a meaningful touch to the proceedings.

These impeccably designed homes adhere to the High Physical Support category outlined in the NDIS guidelines. Boasting three bedrooms, each equipped with a private ensuite, alongside an Onsite Overnight Assistance room and guest bathroom, these homes stand as a testament to thoughtful and inclusive design. Witnessing the residents and their families in attendance, all with beaming smiles, added to the joyous atmosphere.

This unique project's success is a result of the combined efforts of everyone involved, reflecting a commendable collaborative spirit. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Foundation Housing and express our gratitude to all contributors who played a role in bringing this exceptional project to life.
